True but I believe that if you know the information like you should, then the test will be done accordingly. but anyways enough with the arguing of over this it was one remark, big deal I'm not that offended by it lol. What your views guys?[unless you stated it.]

I disagree on that fangirl, there is no such thing as a good or bad test taker, either you know the answers or you don't. Harsh but honest.
Not true at all. There is such a thing as a good or bad test taker. You can be super intelligent and still feel extremely nervous and lack confidence when taking a test. Many factors come into play--not just intelligence.

That is true. I am hopeless in exam situations but score highly on coursework and do well in class. It's a mixture of the pressure to finish on time and the knowledge that a single mistake could undo a whole year or two of hard work.

But hear me out, If you are know the information extremely well, the confidence is there, lack of confidence is the lack of knowledge on the subject. anyways, ITS OVER I don't care for arguments unless its legal or political issues lol. I just wanna see what kind of person you like to vote for or party.

Scoring highly in coursework demonstrates better understanding than scoring highly in an exam. Also it often demonstrates more depth if knowledge.

You can study for IQ tests and raise your result over time, so it's not measuring anything innate. If you ask me, good results from our current education system predominately demonstrate a person's dedication and work-ethic. If you get bad results then you can always try lots of work-experience to build up a big list of contacts for your resume (which is probably more impressive than a set of perfect test scores).

See there was a key word in your post paragon Work-ethic, that is all coursework has to do with, I have never studied on a subject for an exam in five years max. In fact I didn't even study for my act. I took it and didn't even think about it until the time for the test and I scored a 29 first try. Its not the knowledge but it determines intelligence, but why do we have to continue on this subject of matter? can we please stop? Love and peace not hate!

im a moderate independent. Pretty much it.

paragons right, i have an IQ of 145 and really dont find it all that special. Someone with experience and paperwork can get in just as quick as a genius.

Real world people want credentials and know how, its just that smart people are focusing more on that now. Trying to realize their potential. If anything i think they should raise the genius level quotient. I dont think 130 is high enough.

Most true genius accomplish alot by the time they are anywhere between 8 and 25.

Im a software tester for xbox, i love my field but, im no program writer.

I've always considered myself a moderate independent as well.

Also, it wasn't only your intelligence that gave you that ACT score. You're a good test taker. I didn't study at all and got the same score as you, but there are people in my class who I would consider smarter than myself and who have a higher class rank than me that have lower scores. Intelligence is determined by other things than tests. If you can't realize that, something's wrong. :D

I had a friend who had A.D.D. and would take the whole class period to do the test (which used to be an hour and 10 minutes until this year) and only miss one or two problems in my math class.

The thing is you guys are all arguing and no one is wrong Intelligence is to broad of a term to be defined. The ACT and IQ are somewhat similar in what they are trying to find out and that's your Intelligence level.[how well you do certain tasks.]Like I said earlier QUIT ARGUING ITS OVER

I'm an independent. I'm more conservative when it comes to economic issues and liberal for social.
Currently support Mitt Romney but I don't despise Obama like a lot of people. I would take him over Santorum or Gingrich any day.

Right now I'm leaning towards Mitt Romney also, although Ron Paul is a close tie in the polls. I don't despise Obama, but he isn't showing progress enough for me to vote him in again.
